hmmm is right lol

at this point...i'm looking at a couple options. the most attractive is getting a linksys wrt54gs, running DD-WRT on it, and selling the AE. i'm not that big of a geek though, and the AE was so damn easy to set up...

What's DD-WRT?

I have a linksys wrt54g... it's nothing special. The speed is there for wireless, but it needs to be power cycled often for some reason. ethernet will work, but then the wireless gets flaky

its a hacked firmware that allows you to do all sorts of crazy things...like divide the memory in half and run as a bridge AND a mini-PC since they use linux. so if you have issues with reliability, you could make it power cycle every day at say 4am automatically.
so everyone here hates me cuz i have sony dslr? lol :action-smiley-042:
nah...use what works for you. just because i wouldn't use one doesn't mean it's not good. i mean...50-some DSLR members and i'm the only pentax user and there's no comparable camera id trade it for...

Yea Ryan, DDWRT is the fix for bricked routers. LOL. My friend unbricked one of my old routers and now he uses it to give wireless to his xbox.

i've been eyeing the pentax k20 pretty hard. i might be selling all of my current gear and upgrading to FF. but honestly,a weather resistant package based on the k20 with the pentax 16-50 2.8 is really tempting at the price range of about $1200.
