Okay, this is the 2nd time the front lip of my car fell off. For those of you who don't know, I have a xenon front lip and sides on my car, and a WW rear. The first time, I wasn't slammed at that point and it fell off my front bumper and onto the highway, and the bumper slightly came off as well. So I retrieved the lip and put the bumper + lip in my backseat because I was afraid the bumper would fall off too.

Now today, on the LIE I kept hearing these weird sounds, from the rear though, not the front. And bam! out of nowhere my front lip fell off and got stuck underneath the car. So I dragged it all the way to the side and pulled over. Jacked the car up enough to pull it out. I noticed that the 2 screws (1 on each side) were still completely in and pretty tight, but it's like it just ripped through the bumper. Now the sides of my bumper have like 3-4 holes in them where the lip was reinstalled like 2-3 times I believe. So I think this is part of the reason why it fell out. The 3m tape didn't seem to help much either.

My front bumper as always been so flappy, if that's even a word. Like it just seems really lose from the bottom end especially. Which is probably because there are only 2 screws holding it in, one on each wheel well area, and 2 push-tabs on top of the grill, and 0 on the bottom. And the front bumper itself is so ****ty, and is cracked from the front (the front lip hides it when it's installed). And the rear bumper is also somewhat loose. My bro crashed it when it used to be his car and replaced his rear bumper for an aftermarket OEM one.

Now here are the problems with the lips:

Front lip: Now is somewhat broken. Hard to explain without pics, but basically the front part of the lip is broken. The big long thing like: [====] roughly, in the middle, the top part of that has a big hole in it, which I dunno how cuz it's urethane. So that needs to be filled in.

Side Skirts:Both side skirts, the side endcaps of them are almost falling apart. It was being held together with epoxy since it was shortened to fit the coupes, and I'm scared that may fall off too. So I need to get that permanently fixed with either the best epoxy out there or riveting it back together or something.

Rear Lip:The rear lip is an authentic WW rear lip for the coupe. But it still doesn't fit! The lip is too long, so it has 2 big flaps in the back. My reason as to why is because it's an aftermarket OEM rear bumper. So I can either have the WW rear lip cut and shortened to fit or buy a new oem rear bumper. I'm leaning more towards getting the WW lip modified to fit.

So basically, what I wanna do is take off my front bumper and lip, side skirts, and rear bumper and the rear lip, and take it all down to a body shop and get it all fixed, and get the lip kit painted as well. But one problem is, I have no idea how to take off the rear bumper! I've searched but couldn't find any DIYs or anything. I even heard it was a pain in the a$$ to take it off. So I was thinking of just taking my car down there so they can just look at it while it's on the car. But the main problem is that my car is too low to survive down there and I also think if they see my car, they'll assume I have a lot of money and charge me a higher price.

Afterwards, after getting the bumpers fixed and lips painted, I wanna go to the dealership and get every single bolt/screw/push-tab I need and lock those bumpers in place so tightly it won't even budge. So what do you guys think of this plan?? Sorry for the long read...but this problem is pissing me off now.

Good luck with the lip bro.. sucks to hear it doesn't stay like it's supposed to, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. There's always a way to accomplish anything hehe.

Oh, and LIE sucks so bad. I'm sure when you were hearing those weird sounds, you were in traffic rolling at ~5mph, since that's how it usually is on that roadway. I remember spending 4 hours getting from NYC to Glen Cove on that wretched expressway..

2 screws will not do it.

QFT, Hassan. You need to put at least 3-4 screws across the middle of the lip in the lower grill area, plus 2 on each end in the wheel well.

Nothing wrong with some outdoor double-sided 3M tape as well, just to make sure.

I know the feeling, and hopefully, you can get it all fixed up real soon.
