ALMS uses a specially designed 3.4L NA V8
Honda F1 uses the Honda RA808E which is a 2.4L NA V8

and fyi the Patron Acura team placed six place in the race. the top 4 were the Audi and Peugeot diesels which might as well be in their own class. Basically Acura placed second place.

my info came straight from the honda worldwide's site. but i just double checked and its for 2007. Then I checked Acura's ALMS site and it states that, "Displacement is limited to 2.0L if supercharged or turbocharged and 3.4L when naturally aspirated." And that data is for 2009.
