I can promise you, that your original paint is going to last much longer than any paint you spray over it. Unless you go to a cheap place, its going to cost your over 2k to get a legit paint job for your car. If its just your bumper then paint your bumper, you want to avoid painting the whole car unless you are willing to pay the cost.

Have a professional paint shop match your bumper, they will most likely blend it into the hood a little and the fenders to make it match as close as possible. I am in the process of painting my whole car because the paint is black and it was messed up everywhere from the sun.

same reason why i am going to paint my car also. sun damage paint and my car is black. I am going to prep the whole car (sand, body fill, primer) myself and then take it to a one day paint to paint the car.

I'm considering vinyl wrap, one of my buddies will do it for 2.5k, but den again, that 2.5k can go into my next car :gride:

PS_ It's about the love of the car, sure the car might be worth only a x amount of dollars to you, but sentimental value is priceless.

yeah, 2.5k is a lot. just get it painted. or do what Hondalover said and justget the parts painted to match.

have you ever painted anything on a car before because from the question you asked how many gallons your going to need make it seem like your never have and i wouldnt advise you just to paint your whole car in a garage if you have no previous experience with it you can just end up making your car look that before you started for a few reasons
1) your not painting in a booth you your going to have dust in the paint and will have to sand out all the dust than buff the clear back up to its original shine
2) clear coat is very dificult to use bc if you layer it on to dry it will not look right if you put on to much will have a run
3) if you u screw up painting than your just gonna have to pay a real shop to fix you mistake and then paint the car again so it going to cost you a whole lot more money

Did someone say take 3 lug nuts off of each wheel for wieght savings in the canyons?

Seriously, if you want something cheap you're not going to be impressed.

And whoever said something about getting features in a magazine... don't you think they've had their share of Hondas with cheap parts and ****ty paint jobs? You have to do something crazy and/or rare to get featured, look at MikeyMike or Dreman or MoneyPit.
