Found an a5 in the junk yard

a5 Same displacement as a1/4, just non vtec?

Found a 98 a5 at junkyard was intrested in taking the manifold and TB to get machined up, shouldnt have any problems with this on an a4 correct? Same parts im assuming.

Also if i pull the whole motor can i just through any f23 head on it with no problems?? as this may be the easiest way for me to get ahold of a block and build it! since theres no shipping, The a hole want 800 for the whole motor and half the crap is stripped though...

i've seen some local people sell f23 blocks for $50. heck, there was a guy on here who bought a shell from craigslist for $400, raced it for a while, and now wants $500. a1 with a 5spd...

The motor isn't woth $800. I can get a ~100k f23a1 here for $325 out the door, no shop discount.

Same IM and TB. As said previously, you can find an f23 for much cheaper. Hit up some of the local guys with h22/23 swaps.
