What kind of coils are you running? It is next to impossible to NOT have that nosie unelss you're running a stiff *** hell set up.

everybody on full coils has this problem and you're saying that you sleeves and blues dont? How are the roads where you live? Maybe thats why you never hit your UCA.. haha

New Orleans is proven to be the city with the worst roads in the US..

thank god i found this thread..i jus put my fnfs on yesterday and i was worried about the same exact thing..cept the only thing is, i only hear the clanking in the left rear and evertything else is pretty much quiet.

im pretty sure its the bottom locking collar thats not fully tighten so when u hit something it pushes it up and hits it.

i just lowered my car today and Im hearing this Clanking noise. pretty loud. i was wondering what this was. is this just my Springs not Settled in with my shocks yet or what else could it be? Riding on Ksport Gt springs and Kyb Gr2s shocks. yes i know Gr2s are not made for such a drop. but they ride just fine. ive heard good and bads on the shocks. so far its good for me. we'll see after a couple of months tho lol.

did u guys jack the rotor up high enough for the coilover mount to contact the top of the tower then tigthen the bolts?

well the megan sleeves are pretty stiff and their set to the lowest setting possible. So this "clunking noise" is caused by the stiff springs while going over rough, uneven surfaces?

yea we jacked it up. it was the only way it would actually fit without being a pain. And it just rained today. I tightend all the mounting bolts and center bolt. the clunk isnt as loud anymore but still there and not as frequent. but now its started to squeek like hell. im thinking it was just because it was raining. or was i suppose to lube up the rubber bump stops or whatchamacallits.

I can't believe no one asked the dude if he loosened, or removed the end-links during the install. 90% of the time you get that clunking is from loose end-links on our cars after suspension installs.

coilover sleeves dont usually go as low as full coils. with my old skunk2's, and megan's i had before them, they were both almost bottomed and i wasnt even close to the height im at now. my uca's hit a lot more often now than they did with the sleeves, for obvious reasons, i even had a front camber kit back then too, just the ball joint so it was basically the tallest one you can get haha, and that **** didnt hit that often back in my sleeve days.

His car is pretty much as low as ours though.
