Well as some of you may know, or not I grabbed a set of TYC's from a member on here with the intention of putting HID into them. However after the initial install w/ standard halogen, I went for a drive to aim them and that's where I ran into a huge problem. Seem to be WAY out of rotation. Which made them nearly impossible to adjust properly. I tried for HOURS, adjusted both to the max both ways (up/down, left/right) and still looked WORSE than halo projectors. I really don't know what could be the problem. The H1 bulbs looked to be seated properly (even though both had completely different beam patterns, hot spots & dead spots.) Here are some pictures below, if anyone KNOWS the problem or may be able to help I'd appreciate it, so I don't have to return them.

I drew a reference line at the bottom of the window sill just to show how much they are off (only passenger beam pictures, but both are like this)

I had tyc's and they didnt look like that, I even had some HID's in them. Not sure whats wrong, other than the bulb may need to be rotated. If the original owner messed with the lights, that could be the reason.

Well I pulled the bulb out several times, and it looks like it only goes in one way, since the base has a flat spot like below.

I highly doubt the guy I got them from messed with them because he is a upstanding and well known member here. I'm not sure what happened, shipping could have screwed them or I don't know.

Soryy I couldnt help. But if you do plan on going HID, you will need to dremel the bulb housing inside the projector. The arch on the HID bulb has no room when you try an insert the light. You will also have to drill a couple small holes to allow the harness to go through the back cover. I did that and then put some sealant around the wires so they didnt leak.

That's what you get for buying a set of half-*** projectors and not spending the money to do it right with retrofits.

i think oem reflectors with hids is better than tyc with hids. if u like them then its ur decision and u have to face the challenges and problems like the reviews mentioned.
