If rotating the projector doesnt work maybe try shimming the mounts. That is really weird though.

I'm not opening these or shimming anything. These were taken on trade for my OEM's which were in perfect condition. So I think I'll just be shipping these back.

Ship'em back. My TYC set was much better quality and had plastic covers with screws.

I dunno, that or TYC's went down hill. I purchased my set like two years ago. When I sold it, it was still in great working condition. I used HID's with it the whole time.


Have you looked into eyelids with the reflectors? I have some and they cut the glare a little bit.

That's what I've been running for the past 2 years. Looked like it did nothing for glare and the cops seem to agree lol

In Portland they could careless. Maybe in a small city they are bored or something.

You could try and experiment with removing the lenses and then turn on the headlights. Use some black tape to cover up suspected reflectors causing glare and then use some high temp paint to spray it. Or you could go halogen lol...but thats hard since HIDs are now cheaper and better to use.

didnt read the entire thread word for word, but it appears to be an issue with the bulb not being seated (appears to be too far back) in the projector correctly.

if it was too close to the lens, there would be a lot of output, almost like it should be, but with lots of hot spots.

i've never messed with anything but d2s bulbs, but its a focus issue imo. whether its the bulb or the lens, i dont know.
