Re: Raul's 1998 Accord Coupe V6 (Update: 05/21/2010)
when i go in for maintenance / oil changes I always get my mech to check the wheels for play (if i need to change a balljoint etc) because the UCAs/LCAs take a beating due to the stiffness of my suspension
I also check the tires for uneven wear, even if the printout i got from the alignment shop is dead on... you never know
my car went straight too (after a shop stripped my lock key, and i couldnt get the wheel off for a while) but my tires were chewed up in 1.5 months... the toe is most likely out of spec even if ur car is running straight, and it KILLS tires
can't wait to see it @ canam dude!
what kinds of things I should look for maintenance wise? I do drive very cautiously and avoid potholes etc. While getting coilovers installed, I also got my balljoint done. Anything else I should be aware of?
I still gotta get the alignment done. However, I am surprised that my steering wheel still stays the same when left alone. The car doesnt go left or right randomly. There is no tire wear either. But yes, alignment must be done.
