For visibility, 6k will always be better than 8k. Which one is better in snow is a non-issue, since most of us drive on roads and not through snow covered fields. I live in a city where there is snow for half of the year, and 6k is perfectly fine (although now I know 4300k or even 5000k would be better).

8k+ is really more of a cosmetic thing.

Get 6k, its a light tint of blue.

The difference of 6k and 8k is kelvin which is only deciding the color of the output.

The watts is what changes the intensity of the output (35/55) Just go with 35 watt 6k hid's
Edit: 55 watts are used for high beams, thats why I said to go with 35watts (55 are unnecessarily bright for constant use)

As for kelvins what people feel like is less or more output is usually decreased visibility because of the fact that your eyes will pick up a white light better than they will a blue one or say a red light in a photo room.

If I could go back, I'd honestly just get 5ks

My gf has 5k ddm 35w and it's not anywhere near yellow. It's whiter than 6k but still has some blue. 6k is not as white as people think. It's pretty blue IMO

maybe she got 4500k by mistake, cause 5k is pure white. I say go 5k, more output and cleaner light.

personally i havent driven in the snow with my 8Ks. People which i have spoken with who have 6Ks say they cant see poop. (I drove with in a 08 Civic with 6Ks in the snow and it was not pretty)
Wrong. 6k actually produces more lumen compared to 8k. 4300k is the IDEAL and the brightest output which is why OEM uses them. Whiter light is not always better. The whiter/bluer the light the more reflective it becomes hence why proper "fog lamps" are yellow. What you are saying is he might as well grab 20k HID's since in your opinion the higher the kelvin the better the visibility.

well i had swapped DDM 5k to the cg2 and then went to a 6k on the cb7. and the 6k looks whiter. anywho im thinkin about just ordering some 8k bulbs just to have a choice of 5k,6k,8k all in a 9006 style. the cb is rocking some ebay projectors but its awsome output compared what everyone would usually say about ebay headlight.

ok so i installed my 6k 35w ddm hids today and wen i flip the switch my hids just flicker on for a few seconds then shut off. whats the problem here? maybe i need a relay harness, but i see alot of pple without it. i followed the ddm tuning installation guide fully. maybe its the corrosion on my battery?
