H22 Accord

Integra

So I was saving up some money to put a down payment on a new accord or tsx. But after doing some calculations I think i'd rather pick up an integra preferably 98-01 manual and play with that a bit. I just dont want to be stuck with monthly payments.

I could probably find one slightly modded 3 to 4 thou. Or I could use that money to pick up an H22.

My accord is my dd so im kinda weary about doing so much on it, and picking up an integra would be cheaper at 1st and probably safer if anything goes wrong I still got my accord.

opinions, experiences, suggestions all welcome. thanks 6ga.

An h22 swap could be just as reliable as long as your mechanic rocks. Imo, too many integras...your h22 has more potential.

get ready to get raped by the insurance company if u get the integra..... i'd just maintain the accord for now and work on saving up for a new car since u did initially state u wanted a new accord or tsx

those monthly payments would have me check to check after the down payment i dont need that stress.

not to worried about insurance even jersey is b---h on insurance prices. right now i pay about 100 a month for the accord. I could always just transfer the title and "sell" them to mom so it would be under her

an h22 isn't like you're making it into a project car. an engine swap is just that, an engine swap. it'll be reliable because 1, it was the preludes engine. 2, it's a honda engine. 3, it's not some high performance custom built engine. all that being said just swapping the engine wouldn't make it unreliable if that's all you do to it.

if you really want to spend that kind of money on your car or a car

than h22 the accord and have a shop do it

i would never buy a modded car since you have no idea how it was modded and what is ****ed up on it

swapping an engine is only as reliable as the person who does the swap. If you have someone professional do the swap, or someone who has done many of these before then trouble shooting will be a breeze. If you plan on doing it yourself you're in for a hell of a headache. Wiring harnesses are no fun.

no i agree with ya on those points. I've been thinking about it for awhile. its like having 2 cars or jus keep modding this 1

I would def prefer stock integra, but if its already dropped i wouldnt mind. as far as engine swaps no thanks. most of the tegs around here have something modded.
