Ok so I took my car to a shop and had them take a look at the front and rears.
They told me, to my surprise that My brakes were fine they're all at 5/32ths
So I asked him why do I, at times, get the most horrid squeal.
He told me that its probably because the rotors are a little uneven and theres some 'glazing' on them.
Once about 18k miles ago? I was at a shop and a friend (mechanic) took the pads off the car and beveled the edges of the pads and they stopped squealing.
I just can't take the sound anymore its so loud and gives me a headache..
suggestions? opinions? should I look at having the rotors re surfaced?
I'm thinking the dealer I bought the car from had to install new pads before they sold the car and they went with a cheap pad, thats why they squeal?
Not sure.
