I have a Second battery wired up to my stock battery...i know its not good but i havnt had any major issues....but a battery isolator should be used when having 2 batteries to keep your alternator alive....mine has no issues so far...As for alternators if you dont want anything too expensive you can check Dbelectrical.com or if you wanna go hard you can go to iraggi alternators, he has no website but you can email him and let him know your [email protected]

3 farad power cap

YOU'RE FIRED!!!

I have an Ohio Gen. Ran me about $600 for a 200A. Obviously NOT cheap. There is a lot of new alt companies out there right now that I don't have experience with (DC, Mechman, etc.). Ohio Gen has been around for quite some time and my installer swears by the guys that run the place so that's what I went with. A 200A alt will be more than enough. Some companies have custom pulleys designed for maximum output at 2K-3.5K RPM for Honda motors.

I don't think just an alternator upgrade is going to fix everything. You need reserve aka batteries too.

There is a guy on ebay that sells HO alts that I've heard good/bad things about. It'll run you about $300. I have a stinger HO alt that I need to get rid of but I'm too lazy to ship. Plus it's for a 4 banger and I don't know what you drive, nor do I know if they are interchangeable.

I thought an isolator enables you to switch batteries for key off playing and also saves your battery up front ensuring you get your car started? It keeps your alternator alive? WTH!?

An isolator allows your alternator to charge both batteries without overloading it....yes you r correct it also allows you to just use ur second (music battery) battery for key off playing....but as i read in another thread....when you suck too much juice without and isolator during key off playing...it makes it more difficult for your alternator to start/charge your car...since its trying to start your car with an almost dead battery....

This is true. You would need an isolator to save the battery up front and the ability to charge both.

1' = 1 foot. 1" = 1 inch. Just sayin. What is "loud as fuk" to you? Have you metered your car? Oh and HIDs have ballasts so of course your lights wont flicker.

A capacitor isn't going to fix the problem. It would probably make it worse. There have been several discussions about caps here and other audio forums.
