^could also be ur cat going bad if it smells like rotten eggs..hahaha. whats the CEL light codes saying?
hahaha yeah, i got no cat its a straight pipe. but its a stainless steal straight pipe which i think the welder didnt know how to work with stainless steal so i think i got a leak in between the welds
codes are:
bank 1 O2 sensor
bank 2 O2 sensor
and that's it

do you have the spacer in between the test pipe and o2 sensor?
aka defouler trick that can be made for 5$ at any auto parts store.

i have the defouler made already but i just dont have the actual threaded part on the test pipe. what would happen if i did the defouler trick and put the O2 sensor on the flex pipe bung
i have a megan racing header and the flex pipe has the threaded part where i can insert an O2 sensor. the megan also comes with a bung on the actual header itself but thats for the primary 02 sensor. do you think i can put the O2 sensor on the flex pipe with the defouler or would that still throw a code since its a little closer to the engine?

you can give it a try..wont hurt anything due to already CEL..but thats farther away than oem o2 location,so you will need to extend it quite a bit to reach the flex pipe..
crazy iv never seen an o2 sensor attached to a flex pipe..usually its infront of it..ha

but just for topic sake, i have an OBX test pipe and i drilled a hole and JB welded an 02 bung to it..been fine for over 3years.
(cant weld it due to the cheap thin metal OBX pipe is)

Contrary to what has been said.. I used to splice my wideband wire all the time! Before I modified the bung on exhaust to a better place, I kept breaking my wideband sensor due to bottoming out! I'd buy a used/new Bosch wideband one for like $35 and then splice it to the AEM plug.. NEVER had any problems or errors in reading. If it's done correctly using the same gauge wire, and extra attention is paid to sealing off the connections including shrinkwrap, then no problems should occur.

hey i gotta extend my wires too, my o2 sensor is brand new but been on the car for a month and the car hasnt been driven since its been on..today i was bleeding the clutch and for some reason the o2 sensor wires detached from the shrink wrap...and now i notice the wires are shorter so i gotta extend them, must of ripped dont know how because i didnt really touched them at all when i was bleeding the clutch..

my question is can i use eletrical tape with shrink wrap or do i have to solder them?? kuz i dont have a solder gun...

the wires on my primary o2 are 2 black wires, blue, and white... for the black wire does it matter which one it goes to since theres 2??

and russianred what gauge wire did u use?? I bought 18gauge primary wire, thats the smallest i could find at the auto store...and it looks a little thicker than my o2 wires

I don't think you should use thinner gauged wire for something like this. You should go back to radio shack and get the appropriate gauged wire, and while you're there, pick up a soldering pen for $10 and some solder for $2 lol.
