When you pull the clock unit out, looking at the back of the unit - the bulb is in the top left corner. If there is no bulb, there is a hole with two contact points where the bulb turns/locks into.

Dont need to disconnect the battery, and if you just got a bulb then no, no soldering is needed.

That hole all the way to the right in the pic with the contact points is where the bulb screws/locks in. Put the rear housing back on and plug in the two harnesses and your new bulb and you should be good.

The bulb part # is 78181-S84-A02
