thnkz so all i really need is the bumper cover nd im good??

Oh one other thing other than the bumper cover I replaced was I swapped to a bumper support bar. It was also recommended in another thread. I did it mostly because my previous one had been cut out in the center to fit a stuppid kit bumper I had.

See it here: http://goo.gl/bYOCk It's illustration number 6 and part number 71140-S82-A00ZZ.

To end it all

The proper way is to have the Bumper cover AND the hood
However you can get away with just the bumper cover, but it will look like a half a$$ed job.
SOme will find it acceptable and some wont.
It's all up to you and what you're willing to tolerate.
You can get the bumper cover first and decide if you're willing to leave it at that.
If not you can always obtain a hood or even an aftermarket Carbon Fiber Hood.

It's all up to what you're willing to accept as having work done with perfection or dealing will imperfection.
SO the bottom line is:
It can be done
OR
IT can be done.....right

^^YES you need that bumper center retainer or else it wont have any support in the middle. The sedan center retainer are too high and needs to be taken off and replaced with the coupe retainer. And if you try to put it on without the retainer the bumper will sag and will look halfass.
I still need a hood! anyone selling their coupe hood?

i've had my 02 sedan for like 4 years now, and it never crossed my mind to convert the front end to the coupe front end! i love the idea, since the coupe front end looks more aggressive IMO, can't wait to save up more cash and start on this project! complete with OEM foglights and a new lip =)

oh , since everyone says there's going to be a gap if only the bumper is replaced and not the hood. where is the gap exactly? front or back? i have hoodspacers and a hood bra, so would the gap be THAT noticeable? i do plan on getting the hood though, just not right a way, i want to know how bad it is with just getting the bumper first.
