Maybe I can convince another ex-accord member I know in Columbus to come down and bring his Alienbees and camera gear :D
Care to share a name? I know an ex-accord owner there with gear and Alienbees...

I think last year most people called to make reservations at a motel a few weeks before IA, and they all found one. Just do that, and you should be good. Besides our little 6GA group, I don't think anyone else at the Motel6 was there for IA, didn't see any cool cars.

I'm just staying there again because I know where it is, there's food and car washes nearby, it was cheap but not ghetto fabulous, and it wasn't too far from the Speedway. And of course the Honky Barrel was right there. :lawl: There isn't really anything close to the Speedway, so no matter where you stay, you will have at least 15 minutes of driving.

I'm curious what's replacing the BnC evening meet...cuz that was a blast last year!
Ideally it would be nice to get all of the 6GA people together. Not sure how this show works because I've never been to it, but all of the other show I have been in they group you however you rolled in.
Chris, do you happen to have an address or phone number to said motel? If not that one, then Im looking to get a room at a nearby hotel.

I dont mind going in with everyone and rearranging once inside, I just dont want to roll in solo. Ive never been and have absolutely no clue where everything is or where everyone meets so I think it'd be best for me to be in the middle of a bunch of vets who have done this before, lol.

Well unless we roll in together, we'll all just have to get in and meet up inside. Then after we all get in we can just move our cars to one group. The parking lot is ideal for us like last year. There should be plenty of space for us there. If worst comes to worst we can all meet in the back left parking lot and gather ourselves up and then move as a group.
Now here is some good news to we can park on the oval section of the track which would pretty much guarantee all of us getting to park together
How do we know said lot or space will be available? Do we have some sort of "back up plan" or are we all just gonna try to get in as together as possible and just re-group later in the day?

Matt, Milan, and anyone else who wants to, PM your phone number so if we don't roll in together we can find each other during the day and coordinate ****. Though I hope to roll in together.
We need to start getting the phone list going or something.

Mine is 865-242-1144. I love to text and long walks on the beach. Easier to text because I am always working.
I was thinking of this as well. Maybe get a PDF or some kind of thing going with members names, real names and numbers. Ill either snag the few i see posted or I'll end up PMing for some numbers. Knowing me, I'll get lost or something and i'll end up texting or calling someone, lol.

Not tipping and lying to your employer???? Your some kinda guy aren't you haha
I dont see anything wrong with either of those....

:p

I dont have vacation days so I cant take off and I have to work the Friday before. Im still undecided if Im going to leave right after work and just get in and like 3am or if i should get up at the buttcrack of dawn and roll in around noon-ish. The latter will cost me less in Hotel stay but who rolls into IA at Noon? Lol.

I still need to get with some local guys and see what they're doing, so im still a maybe.

I THINK it was 420 Metroplex Drive, Nashville, TN 37211. I will have to double check that though. There is another motel right next to it also.

Basically you wait in a line of cars and you are directed inside to the track infield, where you park in a row of cars (the cars you were behind/ahead of). I think the reason some of us got separated is because upon entering the guys directing traffic are merging the two lines of cars that are entering, so it's a crapshoot if you'll end up with who you rolled in with.

Moving the cars is a possibility, but when you can do that depends on how crowded it is. Sunday last year was easy to do that with, but apparently Saturday the track was jam packed, so I'm sure we'll have to play it by ear. All the shops, displays, etc are in the infield, and cars are parked both on the track and the infield. I think they do the track day event on Sunday only...

We don't. That's just where we ended up last time. Where you end up largely depends on what time you get there and where you are directed. lol I can tell you are trying to make this into a science, but it's just not going to happen. :lawl:

I think we meet up on some road out a ways from the speedway, roll in together, and if any of us get separated we'll have to try to get the cars together when we can. But we can all meet up in person if we have phone numbers...

Exactly. Im your classic over-thinker and I hate things being unorganized and chaotic. ESPECIALLY car meets. If I roll into this thing solo Ima freak out, lol.

I like the idea of everyone, or as many as possible, meeting somewhere a few minutes from the track, then all cruising together, but somebody said that failed in the past.
