if you intend to do a spring and strut combo, you will need to reuse the OEM top hat, bump stops, spacers(washers) and rubber boot housing. this will be the most time consuming.

you need to compress the spring to remove the parts, decompress, compress new spring onto new strut then assemble, then decompress. four times. coilovers are simple swap once you remove strut assemble.

just a heads up.

Tein coilovers would be best for you IMO. It's close to stock ride, and will probably be a good height to drop your car the way you want.

I have been riding on H&R Sport / Koni Yellows for the last 4 years. The ride is stiffer than stock, but not harsh at all. For everyday driving it's perfect IMO. Sure, it would look good half an inch lower, but here with the roads we got (Quebec), slammed = hell.

To do the job, you will need a basic set of tools (Ratchet kit for example 12-14-17mm), a spring compressor (very important) and alot of patience. I recommend, whatever you use as a setup, to replace the strut assembly bushings while you are at it. It's like doing a timing belt job without replacing the front seals and waterpump, only to find out a few months later you got to redo the whole crap again because of a <10$ part.

guys........the thread title says that OP needs help making his car slower.......not lower

j/k.......most people have already answered your question.......but I'll just give my support on you getting full coilovers instead of spring/strut combo.........being lowered with 1 finger wheel gap is nowhere near undriveable.......having the feature to adjust your height is very useful to get the right stance that spring/strut can't do

When I first read the title of your thread my initial thought was the accord is already slow, wide, and it has a fat a** then I clicked the link and saw that you meant lower smh
