jk :lawl:
But if you cold get it smoothed down, it might actually look okay.
And I thought you were going to go completely flatten out the side skirt? Like, from it's initial 90(ish) degree angle, to a flat 180.

nah actually i'll take it, thanks. I tried really hard to flatten it, but that how it turned into bacon because in order to do so i wouldve had to distribute the heat evenly across the whole skirt at one time. Then I couldve flattened the whole thing to 180 with the bend at the same point. unfortunately i couldnt do that with a measly heat gun so i could only do one section at a time. I hope you got all of that. lol

I understand exactly what you're saying.
Are you going to go into more detail messing with your side skirts? or just buy a new pair?
Because if you could somehow fill in the wavy (bacon:lawl:) parts on the bottom, then repaint it, it might actually look decent, if you understood what I said, lol. It looks kind of cool the way it curves in, though.
Out of all the pics, I like this one:

be like it is
It doesn't flop around at all. It does look like "burned bacon" if you shine light on it or actually look closely. Since it is still angled inward, it is in the shade.
how did you verify they dont flop around? ace ventura'd it out the window at 70? open the door on the highway? someone drive next to you?

the sideskirts are fairly stiff ABS, but i can only wonder what happens when the (missing) leading edge catches a breeze.

probably mess with these more, though I will whip out the wallet for some oem sides when I can find some.

I know some people are laughing at this, but, can I call you Andrew?, if you put more time and money in this, I really see it as having potential of looking, if not "great", then at least different but in a good way. Props for trying something new. :)
