how DARE you not hold your chin up high!!!??? I can't say much, i'm pretty sure you saw my crybaby thread when my bulb blew on my first retro :lawl:

But seriously, man we all have setbacks. I've learned this the hard way plenty of times. Nothing hardly ever goes right when modding a car. That's why it's called "modding."

Now, I haven't touched my suspension, but i'm guessing the other side of the bolt is open like that too right? That should be simple to just drill out and put another bolt in.

If you can, maybe cut off the nut on the other side, so you can have part of the bolt left to take with you to buy another bolt, to get the right size.

Have you tried drilling it out yet?

uve got a lot of drilling to do best way is to start small like 1/8 and work ur way up
its a slow process and u gotta use slow-med drilling speeds with some hard pressure

key here is to not get flustrated relax and go in with clear head
when i get pissed i walk away breath take a few min to think and then return
ur mind will make it harder than it is because of anger

Thanks guys, I'll be ok lol. But yeah Ill try some drilling. Cutting the nut off the other end probably wont be happening because of lack of space.

Listen to mkdb89-02se.
And like I said, add oil to it while you're drilling, this will reduce the friction to create less heat.

Good luck man, let us know how it goes.

I broke the weld on both nuts with brute force and a breaker bar. My next problem is how the hell did you guys get your bolts out of the shock? Mine is in a rubber bushing and there is no way to easily remove it.

I hate 10 year old cars. I feel your pain, your story is all too familiar to when I attempted to install my suspension. The bolt in the foot of my rear passenger strut was seized inside and all the things I was trying just made it all worse. I finally took it to a reputable shop and they made it all better. Lol j/k but today I have been lowering the car at the front and yeah...suspension....never a dull moment.

Good luck!
