its was to my understanding that pick n pulls are not allowed to carry cats in cali. if they are then im gonna go there n look.

EDIT: my car is ULEV so if i buy one of those cats off ebay would i still throw a cel sinces its not a ULEV cat? i just really need a cat since my smog check is do

** I don't see why you couldn't use the spark plug defouler trick to prevent a CEL during your smog test. It would only cost you about $4 versus a new cat.

However, I don't know of anyone that used this method, so I can't say for sure it would work for your situation. I don't know what the California smog test/OBDII scan is looking for.

yea i thought about doing the defouler trick but i thought thats just so u fool the computer so no cel would come up. but i dont want to risk failing smog

ok, the ulev magnaflow Cat is part number 46615 its the direct fit. If u go on the magnaflow site a few more part numbers will show up. I bought one a few weeks ago on ebay, they are $380 but if u best off the sellers i got mine for $260 shipped.

There are 2 different part numbers on magnaflows site, one regular and the cali one. Then two direct fit and universals for each
