Ahhhh I see. Tons of regulations FTL.

I thought the ones I mentioned, at least those specific, did have professional seats of mostly carbon fiber? They're just really really expensive?

I also feel as if these wont be very comfortable daily driving.

All of the brands you make have FIA approved seats available.

I hope ASAP. I will also register my car with ETRSCCA, get my class assignment / going so I can then get my class letters to apply to my car.

Aiming way before CANAM time.

There are like 20 different regulations of number and class letters lmao. Wtf. Seems like the hardest part.

"3.7 VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION
A. All vehicles must display numbers and class letters on both sides,
which must be readable by Timing & Scoring, Course, and Grid
workers at all times.

B. Only one set of numbers and class letters may be visible while the
vehicle is running.

C. Class shall be represented by the upper-case abbreviated form
rather than be spelled out. Ladies’ classes shall be indicated by
the letter “L” following the class letters. (Example: “BSPL” instead
of “B Street Prepared Ladies”).

D. Numbers and class letters should be positioned next to each other.
All letters and numbers must be on body panels, not on windows.
All numbers and class letters must use the same typeface and the
same color, and this color must provide adequate contrast to the
background color (see Appendix F for examples)

E. Numbers must be a minimum of 8" high with a 1.25" stroke. Class
letters must be a minimum of 4" high with a 0.75" stroke. In all
cases, the height of the class letters must be between 25% and
75% of the height of the numbers. Stroke width must be at least
10% of the height. (See Appendix F.)

F. The “1” on two-driver cars and the “L” on Ladies’ class cars are
subject to all of the above requirements with regard to placement,
color, size, and stroke.

H. For National Championship, National Tour, and Divisional (if applicable)
competition, current official SCCA required decals must be
displayed on each side of the vehicle in a prominent location. For
Divisional, Tour, and National Championship events, one official
SCCA approved National sponsor identification logo must be
displayed in an upright position, in a prominent location on each
side of the vehicle. "


I'm going to call and see if I can just stencil my own numbers at the approved sizes and then spray paint them on my doors. Or I may be able to get my own approved stencils and then paint them on the doors. I will figure it out later on. I just now saw all the rules. I thought I had read that it could be any type of ID as long as it is legible for the judges. I was wrong.

i will never buy a vw/audi with more than 100k miles. thats when literally everything goes wrong in those cars

Luckily my friends a VW mechanic and the girlfriend and I have a VW PASSAT with 230K on it and still going strong that we bought from him

Just saw that my dues will be 80 bucks for the year. Not bad.

I just emailed the director of SCCA and my regional Board director for tn some questions that I Had. I am hoping that they'll be able to help me get going.

Ok so my car only starts if I connect the electric current directly to the starter by touching the starter connection wire with my socket wrench . meh not a big deal.

Still waiting on the letter that involves my money. Hoping it'll come in the next couple days so I can get a move on my plans!
