Just get wled-xHP5 bulbs, and you won't get any hot spots I swear. My blue gauges had no hotspots at all with those bulbs, but that's why they're almost $6 a piece. Gotta pay to play. And you need more bulbs than me because you're a V6. :jae:
Even if you do get verrrry little spotting, you can always pop the cluster apart and get foil tape and put it on the inside behind the bulbs. It's an easy trick, and doesn't require removing the needles.

Yeah, that's pretty annoying. But whatever. Iguess. I just hope it work when I swap it over. Idk why it wouldn't but I'm not necessarily having good luck with this project this time, haha.

Because your body carries more electrical current than some of those chips on a circuit board can handle(something to do with static electricity too, if i recall correctly), and if you touch them it can/will fry them. That's why you always use a grounding strap when working on a computer. I usually don't, but I make a habbit to touch something metal to ground myself every now and then, or just avoid touching the motherboard on a computer.
I did not know that. Guess that shows my level of noobness, lol.

$6 from where, SBLED? LOL. I'll look into how many bulbs I need exactly and see if I can't find em cheap on ebay.

Went to the junkyard and got a solid set of taillights and a valve cover for 50 bucks:hihi:
Gonna mix and match and make a perfect set of taillights and gonna black out tint the not so perfect set then paint the new valve cover red. I'm coverting my f23a4 into a f23a1 :naughtyrun:

Here's some close ups. The guy did a great job, especially for the time that he did it in. Best of all, no more white spots!

The lip kit is staying off the car for another week to let the paint set more. I didn't want to try flexing it quite yet.

Thanks Matt, your car was a big inspiration for mine early on.

Mike, I had it done at a small family owned shop near me, Seay's Auto Body and Restorations. The guy there had done some work for my uncle on a motorcycle, and it looked great, so I took it to him. He did a great job. Fixed all my dents and scratches (the side in the pic above had a few deep gouges), stripped the trunk and hood, rolled my fenders and repainted the whole car and lip kit. Finished in about 10 days for $1500.
