I did not know that. Guess that shows my level of noobness, lol.Just get wled-xHP5 bulbs, and you won't get any hot spots I swear. My blue gauges had no hotspots at all with those bulbs, but that's why they're almost $6 a piece. Gotta pay to play. And you need more bulbs than me because you're a V6.
Even if you do get verrrry little spotting, you can always pop the cluster apart and get foil tape and put it on the inside behind the bulbs. It's an easy trick, and doesn't require removing the needles.
Yeah, that's pretty annoying. But whatever. Iguess. I just hope it work when I swap it over. Idk why it wouldn't but I'm not necessarily having good luck with this project this time, haha.
Because your body carries more electrical current than some of those chips on a circuit board can handle(something to do with static electricity too, if i recall correctly), and if you touch them it can/will fry them. That's why you always use a grounding strap when working on a computer. I usually don't, but I make a habbit to touch something metal to ground myself every now and then, or just avoid touching the motherboard on a computer.
$6 from where, SBLED? LOL. I'll look into how many bulbs I need exactly and see if I can't find em cheap on ebay.
