Not sure how two bars would solve your problem, when you need to protect the whole oil pan.

does anybody have a skid plate?
i was thinking about attaching two soild metal bars to my sub frame.

I was actually thinking about this too. Just to basically act as a shield that hangs a bit lower than either the oil pan or the exhaust, for highway driving, etc. so nothing gets damaged/torn off in the event of a massive bump that causes the car to scrape. I wouldn't even know how to go about this but I think it would do better than a stolen street sign skid plate.

Two bars wont do **** except cause you to scrape more often as you are adding material down there to scrape with. It'll cause you to seem more low than you are, thus creating an illusion that your car is lower than it appears. But if you want to seem like a fake ricer then by all means, do it!

If you want to protect your oil pan properly, get some 1/8" or even 1/4" thick diamond plated sheets and have them plasma cut to fit properly underneath your frame. I still have a cad drawing somewhere on my computer if you wanted to give to someone to fab for you, but two pieces of metal wont do **** for you.

I was just kidding. I must remind myself that sarcasm doesn't translate over text too well. Don't take me seriously. Ever. I'm not joking about that either o_O
