Swapped out the clear rear sidemarkers for the OEM red ones.

Need to grind the opening on the driver's side one to get the light to sit a bit more flush.

The tail light on the left, how did you get the reverse lights red to match the rest? Red VHT niteshade or something else?

I took a couple (sh!itty) pics with my phone if you guys wanna see.

Thanks for the explanation. I'd be interested in seeing a few pics if they show how the bulk of it attaches to the firewall or whatever.

can't wait to see the new trunk on!

@Chris Looking good! If you don't mind me asking, what are you going to do with your original trunk? As a spare?

Thanks guys.

Probably keep the trunk for now, for many of my mods I've kept the OEM parts in case I want to switch back. I may try to use the spoiler LED light though somehow.

The leftmost center tail in that pic is painted.

Technically not today, but this is what I fought through yesterday. I had replaced the leading and trailing arms in the rear with new TL (2004) arms a few weeks ago. Well, all but the driver's trailing arm, that is. The bolt in the bushing in the knuckle was bound to the bushing and, as a result, I sheared the rubber in the bushing trying to loosen the bolt. Not to the point it couldn't be driven, but this weekend it was time to replace the bushings and the last trailing arm.

Good thing I had a replacement arm because the only way I could get it off was to drill it out and bend it backwards:

What's left of the old bushing:

And the new bushing pressed in place:

If I had thought of drilling out the arm sooner, it would have taken much less time. Of course, I saved some time by not having to remove the knuckle (I don't have a press, anyway).

With the lip spoiler roughly placed. I think I'm going to drive around a few days with it as it is now, see how I like it. Pretty sure I want to put the lip on though.

Still needs some adjusting though, I'm trying to figure out how to do that...found these.

Looks so much cleaner! It would look good without the spoiler if you took off the rear window spoiler. But a lip spoiler would look nicer if you kept the window spoiler on.

I love my spoiler-less hole-less spoiler :lawl:

SOOO much better. Maybe it's the light, glare, color, or reflections but i'm kinda having trouble seeing where it's mis-aligned.

Shhh! LOL. I do kinda agree though. Both lips or none. :lawl:

Maybe you could utilize that as your new high mount stop light or something. Or, mod them as a Knightrider Kitt LEDs! J.K. :naughty:

Car looks fresh, man. She is a gem! Your reverse light lenses look very clear to me (not greenish like stock), which I like!
