I've done both. First time I replaced just the bearings with having a press handy but the second time was winter so I just bought the whole assembly. They only sold the whole assembly at local shops near me and for the price I didn't care.
Same as everyone has said. Have someone stand on it and if that's not enough you can have them grab the inner fender to help pull them down more if that makes sense. I had to kind of bounced up and down to get one of them loose but take your time and be careful
I've used goo gone which doesn't do a good job on thicker jobs. Goof off is something you will want to use which is a little stronger. And if your not too messy and do a quick job you can leave the headlights on the car.
I have used other chemicals before and cracked the center light on the...
I did both my rear brake lines and fuel lines for less than $80. Bought a roll of brake line and a roll of nylon fuel line with copper adapters. Not a fun project and I did mine in the middle of winter but only took a few hrs. When you take the plastic casing off that covers the brake and fuel...
That splitter may be useful, thanks for the input. Ive wired in the demon eye mod into both of the retros I've done and had to pop the hood to plug them in every time so I may run those wires into the cab this time to make it easier and wire in the high beam at that time
Yea problem solved. They sent me H3 bulbs, luckily I had a place near by I bought H1s from today and these are much better projectors than my old retros.
Has anyone wired in the solenoid for the 'high beam'?
I just used these as my second retros and the light output is super dim. Im using the H1 Ebay HIDs, they worked fine in my old retros but like i said, driving at night it seems like there not even on.
Only thing I can think of is when i put the bulb in the projector it seemed like it should...
Looking to buy the upper grill that eliminates the honda symbol. Going to cut my 01-02 bumper and see how it comes out. Not looking for the best one. Just one to work with.
Yes it was a huge headache. I had 3 out and 3 in under 2 hrs and was doing the last one and snapped the head right off. 160,000 miles and new york's winters with all the snow and salt all the bolts are rusted. After hours of drilling out the bolt I still couldn't get the shock out and realized...
I decided to wait till after the winter to install and very glad I did. I just installed them last week and went well until I broke the head off of the bolt that holds the coilover onto the front fork. Had to drill that out and took forever.
My question is before installed them I measured all...
I would say they are easy to do especially if you plan on working on your car in the future. My suggestion would be to get the socket seated on the spark plug with the extension using your fingers before you put the socket wrench on so you don't break the spark plug and get a good grip on it
