    Short Shifter for H22 swapped accord?

    Ive been running a $15 ebay short shifter for 8 years with zero issues. With both my F23 and H22 engines.

    Take the plugs out and spray a little WD40 in each cylinder. It will loosen up the rusty rings a little. Once the engine gets a little heat into it I bet the compression will come up a bit.

    You're down a cylinder. You can here the compression skipping as you crank. Yes you have fuel and spark, but compression is also needed for the engine to run.

    Roughly 180 degrees F during the winter. It will be around 190ish during the summer months.

    Yeah I worked there from 06-07 as a service writer. I just remember walking by an Accord coupe with HFP wheels and feeling utter dissapointment when I found out that they were only 6.5 inches. (Yes, I measured them because it made the car look funny and I couldnt figure out why)...

    Negative ghost rider, Honda doesnt offer a wheel wider than 6.5in. ~former Honda employee (And yeah, Im an a55hole. I'll admit it, but someone has to do it.)

    Im running 15" wheels with this setup guys! Stock 15" wheels. All you need is the V6 calipers with the t23 brackets and rotors from a 1995 vtec prelude. (And some pads) Its not that confusing. I did this 2 years ago:

    I'm running V6 calipers, (ITR, NSX, Legand all work too) and 95 VTEC Prelude rotors. They are 11.1" and 4 lug. I pad about $250 for everything. Its the cheapest BBK you can get IMO. Everything bolts right on without any modifications.

    Both I guess. Im not sure which happened first, the fraying or the broken boot. I just know that once I saw that, I knew it was on borrowed time and replaced as fast as I could. But not without putting an additional 600 or so miles on it. I had to ski, ya know?

    On a 1-10 scare, 10 being the hardest, Id say about a 5. Not to bad. 3 bolts to remove the bracket from the tranny, 2 cotter pins on the linkage. 2 10mm bolts on the subframe bracket, and a couple more for the heat sheild. And then the interior stuff. The center console comes out, the the...

    Thanks man. Now my only mods are the LSD h22 tranny, Koni's, big sway bars, and V6 brakes. I noticed something was wrong when I would go for 1st, and get 3rd. And if I were in 3rd, I could push the shifter over all the way to the left, where first is. Just a ton of slop in the shifter...

    I had to swap out my shifter cables yesterday. The old ones had 214k very hard miles on them. I went all the up and back to Vermont to go skiing on sunday knowing that they looked like this: Even though this pic is a little blurry, you can kind of see that there was only like 5 threads left...

    Royal purple starved my h22 head of oil. I'd recommend against it.
