OP, this is the only way to hold the crank in one position while you try and break it loose with a breaker bar and a pipe.
this^ worked great when I was tearing down my engine.

the pulley tool fail with 3ft extension to breaker bar.....torch fail......chain to flywheel and block fail.....the next option autozone.....last will be the dealer to crack it loose for and hope they don't charge me
