    H22 OBDII ECU w/o immobilizer?

If you plan on doing all the work yourself, then youve got your work cut out for ya. Being that you are auto, you will have extensive mods that need to be done to convert to manual or stay auto. Since you are going from auto to stick, talk to dremen, maybe he can point you into the right...

    F23 Turbo or H22 stock?

Yea, for a cheaper build, the turbo f23 would be faster than an mild NA H22 build, no doubt. Motor to motor, the H22 is a better choice. Built NA, motor to motor, the h22 is a better choice. Built boosted, motor to motor, the H22 is a better choice. Its designed to be better, in breathing...

    H22 OBDII ECU w/o immobilizer?

Are you auto or manual? If auto, obd2 is easier, if manual obd1 is easier. Auto is difficult either way, manual is pretty straight forward with a obd1 conversion, not to mention with a chipped ecu.

    H22 OBDII ECU w/o immobilizer?

The immobilizers in the f23 ecu and the 99-up prelude ecu are the same, rectangle chip that has the code embedded in it. The immobilizer matches the codes to the key programmed for it, so when u swap the immobilizers it essentially swaps the codes needed to start. A guy on honda-acura had a...

    H22 OBDII ECU w/o immobilizer?

Acclude315, just to shed some alternative light on your situation, you can swap immobilizers in the ecus, if you cant find the obd2a 96 ecu. The immobilizer is a rectangular chip in the ecu which can be easily de-soldered out of the f23 ecu and put into the 97-01 h22 ecu in place of its...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

Tranny swap went very well, i had to rewire the tranny sensors, it was a bit of a pain, but at this point tracing out sensors seemed commonplace lol. Also Iam the first Auto H22 obd1 swap in a 6th Generation Accord, so if any of you auto guys are attempting this swap, i will soon do a how-to in...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

ImportKitz, thanks for the info, but a already know all of that now. I was the person who got my engine to fire, wired my own resistor box, etc, my mechanic was basically worthless unless it involved physical mechanical labor. I originally had a obd1 auto setup (chipped ecu+jdm Tcu) waiting for...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

lol.............no not really. First you have to find all the parts that are needed to swap to manual, plus the actual tranny, you will end up spending around 1100. Ive spent enough on getting the motor in and running as it is already ( $3000), so I will run auto LSD for now, and swap to stick...

    H22 Tranny ....

the h22 tranny on the f23, will make you run out of gearing fairly quickly. That tranny is very close ratio on a f motor, and seeing the f's rev limit, it will quickly run out of steam. I remember a guy who had one on his f23, quicker but ran out of gearing very quickly, which was downfall on a...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

I bought a new tranny, obd1 jdm h22 auto lsd. Thats what my ecu tcu problem was, the obd2 auto tranny i was using has more shift selinods than the obd1 auto, so a obd1 tcu cant control a obd2 auto tranny. When i plug in my obd1 ecu the motor runs perfect, just that the tranny doesnt shift...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

Well i found a f20b sir-t ecu and ordered it from Tiger Japanese, with the help of Dreman. Its obd2b from a six gen accord. My obd1 injector resistor box isnt hooked up right, so its just dumping fuel without regulation, which is why i think my cylinders are misfiring, i cant even cut the car...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

car isnt running right, my obd1 setup wont work with my tranny because of the number of shift selinoids the f23 tranny has as opposed to the obd1 trannys, and the vss is different also. So i had to plug in the f23 ecu just to get the car to shift out correctly, but ofcourse it runs like ****, no...

    Egi7's H22 swap thread !!!

Iam very upset with the way the mechanic handled things. Dreman I wont have PS right now, but I will get a prelude line in the near future and run it to the pump or extend and weld the accord line, but the mechanic doesnt weld so I'll have to get someone else. She should be game for a break in...

Ok, took it for another ride today, being that the mechanic said he finished all the sensor..........wrong again, he is still missing a few. He was supposed to switch the tps sensor and wire in the rpm output to the tcu, he didnt do it again and the tranny is shifting sparatically, and my temp...

Ok guys, I rewired the dizzy today using the vast schematics provided by so many 6thgenH22'rs. Come to find out my mechanic had my TDC sensor wired wrong and also didnt have the negative dizzy wire attached at all. So, like I said I re checked everything, re wired the mistakes he made, and...
