Ground Control coilover sleeves - discussion

Gosh thats quite a jump! Thanks for identifying this. I skipped over that post somehow when I was going through this thread.

    Exhaust

Many people love the sound of the stock exhaust with just the muffler removed (4cyl & V6 alike). Cut off the stock mufflers and replace with Vibrant Flat Black mufflers. The difference between the baffled stock cans and the straight-through Vibrants will be enough to get some tone out of the...

Where did you confirm that the sportlines are 171/314? Is that an average or something since they're progressive?

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 3/25/13 That's crazy man! So it was likely the starter keeping it from turning over? Just be glad it didn't ignite that puddle of oil under the car! Sheesh!

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 2/9/13 Take the starter out and have it tested at a parts store to make sure it's good. I went through the same thing with both my starter and alternator after disassembling and reassembling them. I can think of a could things that might cause...

Ground Control coilover sleeves - discussion

I'm in a very similar situation. I need to raise my car up for shipping purposes but want to lower it a little more than it sits now once it's delivered, so I'm leaning towards throwing some GC sleeves on my existing struts. I'm also running Sportline springs but with Illuminas and love...

H23 Intake Manifold onto F23 Head

I've answered this question before, maybe on another forum, but I can't find my response. In short, no. First off, it is not a direct swap. The port shapes are quite different and there's no good way to match them cleanly and reliably other than making a custom adapter. The results I...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 2/6/13 Nice. I'm looking forward to doing the same, though my mounting method will be different. Yeah buddy. Unfortunately I'm pretty well stuck where I'm at for the time being. I might dare to make a little more power on the stock...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 2/6/13 That's what I'm going to do when I'm back home. My $70 ebay kit came with waaay more pipe than I needed. I mounted the IC, then cut the pipe to length, and used painters tape to secure it in position until the welder tacked it then...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

Thanks! I've seen others above that mark, but they look like chassis dynos which typically calculate flywheel hp rather than wheel hp. I guess the best way to compare would be at the track. :driving: Yeah, I love it there. I just have to make a few small modifications to the Accord when...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 1/24/13 Why not just bead all your pipe connections? I tested my charge system to a static ~80psi with no leaks, and ran the turbo up to 21psi. Using reinforced couplers and t-bolt clamps (which you're likely already doing) you shouldn't have...

    cleansleeper's Turbo G23 build

To me, a lot. I've tried it a few times. I consider myself to be pretty stout, and while it's never been too much to handle, it's far too uncomfortable for more than a few days at a time. I like the feedback when I'm moving over 40mph, but it's not worth the effort in parking lots and any...

    Going for a re-tune.... (Round #2) Updated 10/28/13

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (updated 7/30/12 -- Dyno vid & info on Page 38) I'm not sure about the turbo since they don't publish maps for them, but you're probably pushing it hard to get past 450. My 57 trim is starting to sweat a little at 19-21, but in theory it should still flow enough...

    N/A to FI: AFAccord's 10:1 Comp Turbo F23 Build Thread/Restoration

I got the 6, 14, and 19psi runs plotted on the same graph for comparison. Wish I had the boost plot, but we didn't have it hooked up. At least this gives me a good idea of how the boost builds down low.

Re: Going for a re-tune.... (updated 7/30/12 -- Dyno vid & info on Page 38) Haha, you a**.. If Devin gets close to 400 but doesn't break 416, I'm gonna send the car back with my tuner and raise the bar to 450. ;) He already has the advantage of E85, I'm not gonna make it any easier on...

    Kteller Piping?

I'm not following. The ultra quiet resonators are 14" I believe, and the regular ones are 18" or 12". I had two 18" tube styles AND the ultraquiet installed, pulled the ultra quiet, went down the road and it was immediately unbearable so I had it reinstalled.

    Kteller Piping?

The Vibrant Ultra quiet is the best resonator I've ever used. Easily equal to two of their bottle style resonators.

Thanks! I've seen those before, but forgotten about them. They have several nice styles there, unfortunately the only 8" rim is very similar to my 18's. haha I'll keep an eye on them though. Might even have to send them a message to see if they can special order something. Offsets look good too!

haha! I love the 57 Pro, but I'm not looking to spend more than $1000 on some winter wheels. I might be better off looking around on the classifieds. The Rota's might be more up my alley.

    Wheel Fitment Thread

Thanks. 17x8 appears to be the best bet from photos I've found. It's just going to be difficult to find a wheel that size with a 4x114.3 pattern in a decent offset (35mm+).
