    reviewing a couple tires

Not sure about the tire comparison but go for the wider tire. That is the single best modification I've done to my car: better braking, cornering, acceleration.

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

You mean like raising the boost 2lbs or so? :driving: Awesome! I think the sticker doesn't say much you are right. If they decide to look it up though it tells you just about everything, turbo model, engine management should be locked, internal wastegate etc.

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

Sounds like fun. I can't wait to learn how to properly drive a car of this potential, it grows hair on the chest. The Accord is a breeze, even though I got it to oversteer now at the limit and the long 2nd gear means I usually don't even have to shift. Luckily the H22s torque is nicely spread...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

The Greddy units sounds like a killer imo. People ***** about it making less than 300whp but that's not the point of that kit. For that amount of boost it makes decent power and all of that peak torque is flat for a wide range. More boost is a lot of stress on a car that's already 11:1 imo. The...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

Drift you are right they did re manufacture that rear: "One of the "features" of the outgoing S2000's rear suspension was its tendency to exhibit bump steer at the limits. Honda's engineers have attacked this issue from several angles. Rear toe in was reduced from -0deg 19' to -0deg 10'. At a...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Holly car tunning Hollywood! I read this guys f22 build in Sports Compact Car several times over. He made a 17:1 high revving monster, great read and numbers! For reference he made something like 245wtq out of it, but no dyno was provided in the mag. I got my car tuned at Church Automotive...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

I know selling it as it is won't get me much money. I never planned to. I will sell it aftermarket parts separately for sure. The only question was should I even try to sell the car stock or should I sell stock parts out of it. I hear ya but I'm not sure Honda fully fixed that problem. From...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

That's nice! You can zero in on that dual peak pretty nicely with those short gears. Your build is very hardcore btw, you probably spend at least as much as I did on the 6th gen. Got 2 questions for you: What does your exhaust look like? What's your AFR? You have a plot of it?

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Your optimal shift point is between 6000 and 6300 rpm depending on the gear you are in (assuming you have the stock transmission). If you shift higher than than you will actually be putting out slower times. That frank motor requires 500rpm higher shift point. Even higher shift points can be...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Agreed, your powerband is far more usable and you don't have to throw those pistons at cosmic speeds. This should net a lot more pickup and reliability. The cam that guy used is not geared that well for the F.

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Good read! I had no idea the f22 head flows better, I would have thought the opposite. So this is a perfect example that I think makes my point even more strongly. First I'm not sure that's pump gas but anyway. Look at the torque curve, nowhere near 200wtq. While NA the motor generally gets...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

No doubt Honda motors are the benchmark in the /liter category. Their dedication to the 4 cyl motor over the decades netted great results. There is a reason Murray wanted the McLaren F1 to be Honda powered.

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

I'm not so sure this car is cheaper than an S2000, not with the mods I've done. Maintenance on the H, carputer and tires, brakes is about the same. I always get liability insurance too. I won't argue the loss of room or low key aspect. I'll miss these dearly. Likewise I love the coupe...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Well I know for example the LS7 in the Vette can get 700hp with the right head, 11-1 pistons and boltons. That's 100hp/l at the crank so there should be no reason why the F23 can't do 230 or so. You will need to use some of the lightest parts known to man and have then friction free, hollow out...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

Ha Ha wow lots of offers for buying that's good. So the overall feel is that the aftermarket parts should go ok. Now what about the stock parts. What if I hold the Accord for pick-a-part purposes. Is anybody going to want stock parts off of it? umm airbag, spare, driveshafts... or should I try...

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

Not sure right? He may have. My opinion is that the goals are too high with NA SOHC F23 on pump gas. It's already a long stroke motor too, you can make a very aggressive cam and give up idle but ultimately you can't even rev it that high. The F23 has the benefit of being light, I bet it's...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

I'm hoping someone would want the custom header + exhaust and fuel pump. I spend around $2500 getting these two and they are impressive. In your state the exhaust would actually be legal.

    NA SOHC F23A1 Build - DYNO'd!!!

get dual cams or FI? There are ways to achieve that hp/tq goal with the F23 but I don't think you can do it on pump gas and retain a decent idle quality. The build is definitely unique though. Props for doing something different. In the end there will always be a car that's faster anyway, it's...

No offense taken, plus it's not what I meant. I'm hoping to get 15k on all parts that are in it including the chassis. No S2000 comes with a carputer, dual monitors, Hondata S300, hand built speakers etc. What wires? I have it running on the H22 right now, it's a *****in' unit, easy swap...

Really considering swapping to an AP1 S2000, H22 Accord part out?

While swapping to a V6 would solve some of my worries I still don't have time to work on swapping everything over as I'm very time constrained in gradschool, not to mention still expensive to swap in a 6 speed. I was thinking what car would give me equal or better driving feel, good penwork...

Swapping cars from 4cyl model to 6

JDM motor, 49 state cat, Hondata, header, V2 intake is powdercoated and therefore the sticker is gone. It's pretty obvious this car can't go on the rollers. I'm so annoyed at Calif. gov. right now. The budget is a mess, debates are rampant on whether this is a failed state. I'm willing to...

Swapping cars from 4cyl model to 6

6 rejections for today. 14 shops left to try. At 20 failures one of two things will happen: 1.buying a V6 and doing a 6 speed swap. 2.buying an S2000.
