You would need one of these tools to correctly tighten the crank pulley bolt back anyway. As far removal, have heat on hand( a lot of it) an impact wrench with 19mm (IIRC) and a LOT of patience. A cheater bar wouldn't hurt either.
They could be worn past the point of just re-greasing them (Mine were). They may not be though.
Personally, I'd just replace them, but that may not be an option for you. Grease them, ride a few thousand then check them again for uneven wear.

Also, those shops would do anything to take advantage of someone. Doing this job would take no more than an hour and a little know how. the guide pins do this regularly replace them and grease them well when you install the new ones.

Do you have a relief for the brake fluid to go? i.e. open the bleeder so you don't have to force fluid all the way back to the reservoir. It is hard as fuuuu to turn the piston but it will yield.
Drill the screw heads off, you don't really need them anyway the wheel will sandwich the rotor to the hub.
I used a mega sized slotted screw driver to turn my pistons back in.
