I'm not sure, I'm still trying to get the CEL to stay on. But I am noticing that if I am in gear 1 and I am at 4k RPM and I floor it, once it hits 5k RPM it kind of sounds like VTEC kicked in (no pun) even though its like 2-3k for our cars

OK world. the misfire is still in cylinder 1 only.

Im going to swap the fuel injectors and see if that does anything...

side note: picked up 4 working injectors of ebay for $30! and also bought some techron.

I am going to swap the cyl4 injector to cyl1 first though.

Put some pag oil or gasoline on the o-rings before you put them back in.

thanks. I put in the replacement injector in cyl4 and moved that one to cyl1 (so i'd know if the new injector was bad too).

I haven't tried driving hard, but the engine felt kind of smooth and it started instantly (i did keep turning the key to ACC to prime the fuel line).

I cleaned everything while it was off:
injectors, injector filter, injector tip, fuel rail, banjo bolt

Now I get an ABS light... what did I do wrong? did i forget to plug something back in? i double checked.

ALSO:
forgot to mention there is black soot in my exhaust tip. i know this sounds ****ing stupid, but its normal right?
someone was telling me they got bad mpg once they started to notice theyre muffler was black. I haven't seriously measured but my trip indicates something above 250miles/tank

Black soot in your exhaust tip is normal.

Your ABS light is on? Did you take your wheel off recently?

Why dont you just take the car to the dealer for a diagnostics? You could probably fix it after, they have better testing equipment.

You need to test the injectors using a special SST tool.

Fuel pressure is probably okay

Spark plugs will look like **** on the cylinder thats arent burning...obviously.

You need to test for spark plug wire resistance, anything above 13ohms replace.

You need tocheck compression on cylinder 1 and 2 to ensure they areokay.,

You can just pay the money to get adiagnosis since you cannot figure out the problem or dont have the tools. Its better than to keep spending money on things that wont fix your car.
