2002 Automatic Transmission.

Ok guys as we all know, 98-02 AT are the worst on the planet. What I wanted to know was is there really a 100% chance that mine will fail? My '02 currently has 28,000 miles on it and i know the tranny problems start MUCH later but does anyone here have an AT that hasn't failed at all? Just need some answers to make me feel more secure...which probably won't happen cuz it's known to fail too much

right now my tranny is at 109k miles and it hasn't failed yet (knock on wood). I do have a small tranny leak though

I own a 1999 my AT hasn't failed yet (knock on wood) I'm around 105k

Thnks guys for givin me hope! lol, maybe it's just me but i haven't read too many problems with '02 AT even though the problem ranges for the whole 6th gen lineup

Yes. 6thgen V6's were not produced with manual transmissions.
