that rear bumper doesn't look like it would accept a lip kit very well :(

07 accord: 3.0L 244 hp V6
07 camry: 3.5L 268 hp V6
07 altima: 3.5L 270 hp V6

if those trends show anything the new accord is due for a power upgrade. maybe the 3.5L TL engine (286hp) or at least the 3.2L (258hp and more torque).

the 3.5L, 6speed would be very fun to drive, but i'll probably be getting close to $30k.

i'm not sure if honda wants there accord to cost more than the TSX and almost as much as the TL.

Definitely the 8th Gen Accord Coupe, and that's probably exactly how it will look at the dealer (don't know about the front; looks kinda weird and not like the concept unveiled at the autoshow at all).
As for the engine, i think it might be the "Advanced Vtec" it revealed in 2005.

Personal Rant: Thank God the taillights won't be altezzas, cause that was killing me with the concept. I don't think it looks ugly at all, actually looks pretty sweet to me, but it just doesn't look like a Honda to me. Looks like a 3series bmw, imo. Ever since the Civic and Accords stopped having the open upper grill i've been sad.

I really like the concept, and if it comes with advance vtec that would be a fun car to drive.

i thought from the beginning of the concept i think honda said that the front would be less aggressive once it got to production. i don't think it looks bad at all.

EDIT: i think the fog lights are covered by the paper/tape stuff. with them it would look much nicer.

EDIT II: i think the hi beam portion of the headlights may also be covered. the front end might be more similar to the concept that it looks on first glance.

i'm glad they opened up the lower grill. i hope they keep it like that.

EDIT III: what happened to the quad exhaust? i like the look of the dual tsx tips better anyways.

Xluben: About the front view, I was just having a hard time making it out in the photo. After looking at it again, I don't think they changed it much from the concept. I can't tell from the pic, but I do hope they changed the five-sided grill; looks like ridgelinish to me, but other than that, I like the car a lot.
As for the 6cyl, I can't speculate. The only thing I can say is that Honda is gonna have hard time convincing buyers to spend the extra cheese for a 6cyl not as industry setting as the 4cyl advanced vtec (which it will be once it hits that market). But that's assuming the advanced vtec will come in the 8th gen. Who knows, though.
It does look like a bigger civic. I don't like this trend of raised rear ends. The Accord has always been a sleeker, longer car, but I guess it'll just take getting used to.

^^ Excuse the sexual innuendos with the "raised rear ends" and the "sleeker, longer." It didn't sound that way in my head when I wrote it.

sure a lot of people will love 175hp/175tq, 35mpg, and an under $20k base price.

BUT i know some people will go for the v6 if it does TL 3.5L power! (or better :))

EDIT: i just took a look at the 07 accord vs. altima 4cyl

accord: 2.4L I4, 166hp @ 5800 RPM, 160tq @ 4000 RPM
altima: 2.5L I4, 175hp @ 5600 RPM, 180tq @ 3900 RPM

and the altima has a 1mpg better gas mileage rating.

yikes! honda has some work to do :)
