i've never been attracted to V6 engines unless it was something coming out of 350Z, G35, or another form of a JDM engine.

i don't like made up USDM V6s, something about them just aren't attractive. sorry.

i would be one of the weirdos going for a 5speed or 6speed I4 making 175HP.

it's complicated but makes sense.

put something like the TSX engine in the 8thgen
give the 2nd gen TSX a new engine.

no need for intercompany competition like the Civic SI v. RSX Type S

I'm intrested to see what the engine for both will be, and I'm also intrested to see what the car will look like with the OEM lip kit. I wonder if they will do a Si version of the accord coupe, or an s-type version. I doubt it, but it would be cool to see them try it out.

new pics from leftlane:

interior looks really nice, think those are projector halogens? I heard the projector halogens on the new camry arent that bright, edmunds was complaining about them on their long term test.

^^^ Damn, I can't see the pics!
I hope they're projectors, and it would just make sense to have them --> economies of scale, baby! Per unit, it'd be cheaper to produce and for the short term, they could make the same margin off it (until projectors and HIDs finally become the standard). <-- Someone send this memo to Honda, please.
All I know is that I'll be out of college making my bank, and I'll definitely be in the market for a new car when 8th gen hits dealerships; and hopefully they'll offer a hybrid version, cause gas prices are INSANE as of late!!

Thank ya kindly, smrpants. And I like it. Looks like you could fit some nice, staggered wheels and wider tires in the rear (not that that'll do any good for a FWD car). But is it me, or does that lady look real cramped in there?
