I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX silver with 15,000k miles on it that I bought from an elderly couple. I am looking to buy 18" 10 spoke coupe rims. I have found them on some OEM sites for around 500 shipped. I however have a few questions, the websites offer the rim in 3 colors 1. Full painted silver 2. Full Painted Bright Silver 3. Chrome. I know I dont want the chrome however the other 2 are interesting. What is the difference? Worth the extra 60 per rim to get the 2nd option? Also, I have a 4 lug pattern, went to the local custom auto shop and they said they could make the rims fit using 4 to 5 lug adapters, is this true? They said it would cost about 150 for the conversion kit. How much should I lower the car? I dont want to slam it, i just want to close the gap of the wheel and car. Anyone have any pictures?

Sorry for the long post, I am new to the forum.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Your car can be converted to the five lug setup used on the 2010 models. There are threads regarding that process on this forum.

2. I can't elaborate on the color question. I'm sure either will go well with the color of your car.

3. Regarding the lowering question, there is a section on suspension setups on this site as well. I highly recommend you read it and the other threads like it before you ask a question like that again. There are members here that flip **** about those questions they flame on people for it.

GL and welcome to the forum!

P.S. searching is your best friend.

Thanks bud. Figured I would get any replies as that question was a mouthful. lol. Ive been reading on the 4 to 5 lug conversion and well people seem to be changing the whole bottom end in order to change the lug setup. Your saying I can change it with a simple adapter? Correct?

I think I am going to lower it about 2 inches? Any good budget kits out there you guys recommend? I dont want a coilover, dont plan on changing height. Just set with shocks and springs. Couple hundred. DZ kits anygood? seem cheap. thanks

Holy moly.. 15k miles?! I am so jealous..

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

As for DZ kits.. DON'T DO IT lol. I can't emphasize that enough.

Go with some quality stuff that's reputable like Tokico HP shocks with Tein S-tech/Eibach Sportline/H&R Race.. those will give you a decent 2" drop.

But with just a little more, you can get some coilovers like Function&Form, Megan EZ Street, etc.

Paid 5k for it. It still had the dealership paper floor mats on the floor, lol. I will look into those drop kits. Planning on getting it done this coming friday in Nashville. Do you have any input on the wheel adapters? Still kinda lost on these.

cheapest drop for your buck, aside from buying used are tokico blues with ksport gt springs. lowers 2.75" with a v6 in front and 2.25" in back all for $450. see my sig for comparison.

DO NOT BUY 4lug to 5 lug adapters! they are not safe for a daily driven car. and they make balancing the wheels more difficult, my buddy did that on his tiburon (his stayed 5lug-5lug, just wanted the spacing they gave) and he removed them within a week because he said the car didn't feel stable. those are for people unwilling to do it the RIGHT way which is to change out the whole knuckle and hub.

They made the car unstable? Ive heard mixed things about them, some good some bad. Im kinda in the middle on them. I am also looking to drop my car just a bit. Not much but maybe an inch or so just to limit the space between the tire and the fender. Im going for the look of azn_boi_128 honda. I dont want to copy but I really like it. It looks professional not at all riced. Makes it look like a newer model accord and the rims really flow with the car. Anybody got any 18 inch 10 spoke accord rims for sale? I have seen them on tons of replica sites for about 500 for 4. A
