Overall I am a big fan of the 9GA, the Accord finally looks sharp again. The sedan was done so well, and the coupe was too, except for the rear fascia (which isn't a dealbreaker). Only reason I won't buy one is because I don't want another FWD car.
I wouldn't say sub-par everything (build quality, fit/finish, features, etc), and I would also say that when compared with the other cars in their class (Camry, Altima, Malibu, etc), the 9G Accord is an easy decision. Imo
But I do agree it's disappointing that Honda has taken a different approach with their cars...it really feels like they are more about "smart" cars given many of the decisions they've made. And not so much about "fun" cars anymore.
I'd hate to have to drive a car "that doesn't look as bad as everyone else thinks"... they are just plain boring cars with little personality. Big boats with sub par everything compared to any other car manufacturer.
