pull out your resonator, cut a big whole in the bottom of your stock airbox, and slap in a kn filter, and call it a day. Save that 100 bucks and take your girl out to a nice restaurant.

Thats what I did and switiching from an AEM V2 (the most expensive and overated intake on the market) I didnt feel much of a difference...a difference worth the price anyway.

^^ Honestly the the best possible intake mod you can do.

if you look closely, once you remove your resonator your stock setup functions like a cold air intake because the airbox is sucking colder air from outside the engine bay which is the area where the resonator used to be.

now if youhave a high revving motor like the K20 or F20 youre gonna need to upgrade your intake so it can breathe at higher rpms, if your car redlines at 6250 , you dont need it so much.

went the DIY route as suggested:

didn't cut a bigger hole in the airbox because i'd like to be able to revert back to stock, but did mount the intake to the bottom.

later i'll probably get a k&n drop in filter.
