okay here's the deal. I bought a set of used wheels that were an amazing deal. The guy told me they're 4x100 pattern. I went to the website and they only offered the wheels in 4x100 and 5x120. My problem is my accord is the 4lug which is 4x114.3. So a buddy of mine has had some adapters sitting around that he used on his cb7 accord. I picked them up tonight and came home to fit them on the accord and size up the wheels because I wanted to see the fitment. I bolted up the adapters and to my surprise the wheels didnt fit on. So after taking things off and checking out individually. The wheels are definitely too small to fit the 4x114.3 pattern. however the adapters are just the slightest bit too small to fit into the wheel pattern. I mean, if I wanted to screw things up I bet I could hammer the adapters through into the wheel pattern. But I'm not willing to do that.

Can anybody shed some light on wtf is going on here? I'm just boggled. my guess is that the adapters were incorrectly made. Because lets be honest, whats the probability of the wheels being wrong but yet still fitting on this guy's 4x100 pattern? I dont know what to do now? Should I order some other adapters and see if they work? or should I just sell the wheels? Or should I take the wheels to get drilled to fit 4x114.3?

Im really not wanting to sell the wheels because they're exactly what I had been wanting to put on the car and I got them for such an amazing price.

IMO depending on the wheel and what it is. drilling is going to be $$$$.

the size of the adapters. if your buddy used them i dont see how they could be off. but i would try to find another set to maybe see there. but then your last resort could always be trading which i see you do not want to do but its all about how much money your willing to spend man.

Take a tape measure & measure the spacing from one hole to the opposite hole. If its 4" then they are 4x100 if it measures 4.5 then they are 4x114 the only other bolt parent there is, is a couple of odd balls out there like 4x108 & 4x110. So you might wanna take the rims to a tire shop, have them measure them out that way you will know exactly what adapters to get.

Good luck
& adapters are fine don't trip on them

That's the thing, the adapters are brand new. My buddy never got the chance to use them cause he ended up selling his car. So that's why I'm wondering about the adapters.

Yeah I'm gonna measure both the adapters and the wheels today. But the wheel company specifically said they only made these wheels in 4x100 and 5x120. So I dont think it's the wheels that are off. Plus the wheels were definitely on someone's car being used. So I'm almost 100% sure that its the adapters.

That's a sign bro lol.. Sell them and get 18s.

haha dude, if I could afford 18's and tires I would, but I really wanna see what these will look like on the car first.

quick update here. I measured the lug pattern, from center of one hole to the center of the hole across from it. Just like Ive been seeing everyone online tell me to do. lug pattern reads 105mm. I thought, no way my measuring is off. So I download an app on my phone, says the same thing. I have no idea what kinda car has that kind of pattern.

I'm about to call the wheel company now and ask whats up.

That's weird that the rim isn't what the company said it was.
I've never even herd of 4x105 & if that's what they are your lookin at drilling the rims.

i dont think their is a 4x105. it has to be 4x108 which is from like old audis and even some mustangs.

Well here's my take on the situation thus far...I talked to Axis again. they said they made the wheels in a 17x8.5 and a 17x9.5. When a customer would order the wheels, they'd sell them blank and the customer would have them custom drilled. So My guess is that someone bought these wheels, and then whoever drilled them, made a huge mistake or error in the drilling. I'm tellin you guys, it's 4x105 DEAD ON. Its the stupidest/weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. So now I'm looking into having a machine shop fill and redrill these to 114.3 for me

^ don't even bother having the 105 holes filled its g2 do more damage to the rims then any good.
Is there any room to have the adapter plates redrilled? If so that would probably be cheaper & easier.
