lol, I'll never rev the engine at a stop light, but I'll let people stare. But since it's all under the hood, they would have to know what the red V6 emblem means to know what's next to them. And yes the car will mean much more to me when it comes alive. :)

Good man!!! I've been waiting a long time to see this thread. :D

ha I know RJ. Since I have to travel to get this swap done, it took me a while to get everything in order and make sure it was possible. I didn't want to start a thread and hype it up. Come end of May, it will be updated much more.

Does it? Hmm...that would kind of suck considering current prices. I like to think it will go down, but who knows. I'll have to check into that...

lol Tommy I definitely don't have plenty of money. I am getting a good deal on parts & labor. :) Otherwise, I would be swapping the tranny only.

nice sig btw. :lawl:

EDIT: Just talked with Eric about using premium gas, and the fuel economy does increase with the manual...I forgot about that. And premium, at least for now, is not much more than regular. And it probably never will be. You can fill up your tank with premium for a few dollars more, so I don't think it's a huge difference. And I won't be turning and burning all the time, so meh. Guys driving around in Civic Si's have to use premium.

You're not gonna believe it, but that guy is my fiance's brother. I've seen this dropout in person, it's clean as hell.

You're doing this is Chicago, correct? Chicago's only like a 6 hour drive for me. I'd like to witness this swap...

Oh what? That's crazy. I've been following his build on j32a, it's clean.

But yeah, if you think about that deal, it's going to be cheaper than buying Richie's harness and a motor, plus you'll get the rare and coveted full 6mt motor.

Maybe since you're going to be related soon, he'll give it to you even cheaper? Haha, it's already crackhead pricing though, since that price includes shipping!

Yeah, not sure which side of the city though. How is your auto tranny? Mine is solid, and I'll be looking to sell it if you want a backup.

haha yeah, he just goes to school and works on his car. He's got a nice thing going, can't wait to ride in it. I believe he is aiming to have it done for IA this year.

I've gotten a couple things from him, like the shift box, knob, and the boot. The crank position sensor code scares me, because he's talented at figuring stuff out, so if it weren't a big deal I think he'd just fix it himself. And Tom already sold me his harness he bought this time last year for $375 so I'm not sitting too bad. Maybe I'll talk to him next time I'm over there though, see what he'd give it to me for.

He's one of my groomsmen, lol.

Perhaps you and I need to talk sooner than later.......:deal:

You won't find a better deal on a CL-S dropout, Derek. I am seriously amazed it's not sold yet. He'd probably ship to Canada, but I'm guessing you'd have to arrange it and it would cost more. Worth it though!
