So I had my first truly glorious on-ramp experience today! It was perfect too because you turn off this main road with a low speed limit, and it's a sharp turn so you have to slow down a bit, then the ramp is long so you get to shift up through almost all gears...WOW. F'ing awesome and fun as hell! I was literally giddy, lol. SO happy, this was so worth it..the car is an animal.

Just wanted to share that. :) Also means I should be able to get some video sometime soon. ;)

On a different note. Does anyone know if the Pspec short shifter for the i4 accord will fit the CL 6spd shifter ?

I want to say yes, but I'm not 100% sure.

Congrats man! THis swap can net you over 100whp over the orignal J30A1 Auto setup and give you better fuel economy :D

Thanks Nick. Have you ever dyno'd your car? I would like to know the numbers just to have them. I've noticed a big increase in fuel econ.

btw, we couldn't put the headers you sold me on the car, the flange that mates with the cat wasn't lining up. I left it at the shop, hoping Rich will re-weld it and ship it to me.

Is not your fault man. You've been helpful enough.
There's some info on V6P regarding this issue but nobody cares to elaborate further.

did you re-pin the a plug? also, where is your temp sender located? if its not in the block, make sure its grounded to something.

Cruise control works! Used last night going across the city. So happy...Rich is the freakin man.

It pretty much needs to be an obsession in order for it to happen. If you're not committed, you won't feel comfortable with it.

Pretty much sums it up. It truly is a completely different car.

Thanks RJ. I've heard from a few people that the mounts break in a little bit, so how long does it take for that to happen? Yeah aside from the shaking inside, the rattles from the dash, etc almost "cheapen" the feel of the car for me, which is what makes me worry what others think. I also feel like it's harder on the car and making various things wear more quickly...but I think that's all in my head. lol

I feel like I could have walked away happy with just the 6spd. But then for the minimal added cost, all I could think was..."why the hell not?" haha

lol. deal.

lol well I'll tell ya right now, it won't be like the ride you gave me last year in your car cuz I'm not that good yet. Plus I feel like I've been hard enough on the new clutch just when I was learning to drive it, haha. But happy to give ya a ride in it. :)

Wish I could have been more help man, but I don't know what Rich did for the wiring part of things. Seems like if you asked on V6P someone would have some info for you.

This would drive me NUTS! lol And I'd worry when something actually was wrong with the car I wouldn't know. You sure Rich's module is hooked up correctly?

Well Mark and I couldn't figure it out. Last thing I remember is something about an auto connector not being hooked up right. I'm sure It's an easy fix

I want to say yes, but I'm not 100% sure.

There's a kit that fits the CL shifter made by JTC. I'm going to end up getting that one and then report back.

Eric, This is why I need help. lol
Do you mean if I re-pin the harness that goes into the A plug on the ECU ?

If I understand right. TheJ32 doesn't have the temp sensor like the J30 does and it uses a different way to read temp. As far as I know I was supposed to remove the sensor along with the wire from my old J30 and thread it into the J32.

IMRC ? looked it up and it stands for "Intake Manifold Runner Control". Where is that located ?

I'm pretty much lost to say the least.

^Rich and I used the temp sensor from the J30, can't say for sure about the wire. Also not sure what he did ECU-wise.

But the IMRC is unrelated to the temp issue, its something that's hardwired into the J32, that takes extra work to hook up to an Accord. It just manages with some aspect of engine performance, we didn't mess with it.

Hey Chris!

Good news. Just got off the phone with Richie and he walked me through the whole process. It's actually very simple. I'll go take care of it on tuesday. I'll update once everything is finished along w/some pics.

We talked a bit about your whole swap. He mentioned that you guys took lots of pics in the process.

thnx again for all the input.

looks like you got it sorted. but if you still need help shoot me a text. i can go snap pics for you if needed.

IIRC, the wire you want to look for near the shock tower is a yellow wire with a green stripe running through it.

I think a photoshoot is in order with Chris's Accord and Red_02_Accord.

Elio, glad you got it figured out. It will be nice to have a working temp guage.

Brandon, I would love to do one with Larry (I think that's who you were talking about), slowaccord, and RJ. 4 red coupes...epic. lol
