Yeah, not sure which side of the city though. How is your auto tranny? Mine is solid, and I'll be looking to sell it if you want a backup.
Its good. Not sure about wanting a backup at the moment. I just wanna witness the swap. Hell, might even be an extra pair of hands..

Might take you up on that. I could use someone to split the hotel room with, and a ride to Rich's house every day would be nice. And you can never have too many dudes working on a car.

UPDATE. Ordered remaining Honda/Acura parts today, as well as Innovative motor mounts. I hope nothing is on backorder. :skurred: Now I just need an SRI made for a 2G TL-S/CL-S.

Swap is in 2.5 weeks...May is going quickly...

Chris, you're not going to just pick up some ebay piping and get a K&N filter?

I think you'll be fine, all the damage from the storm was cosmetic, right? If it's of any comfort, your car has lower miles than mine and it's 3 years newer. So if your car or mine was to break down...I'd bet on mine. lol Although I'm hoping this swap will significantly bulletproof it.

I could, does the piping come with necessary gaskets, hardware, etc? This would be ideal since I don't need anything special. After the money I dropped yesterday, the cheaper the better. lol

Speaking of the parts I ordered yesterday, took me 2 hours to enter all of them. It was terrible, haha.

Re: 6 > 4 [6spd + 3.2 swap]

I asked Rich if he had anything lying around we could make an intake out of, and he said we would be able to "rig one up". So I might have a rat pipe intake when all is said and done, lol. I'll be buying one later, just need something to hold me over for now.

Tim at OEMAcuraParts.com, our site sponsor, has been great about my order. Free shipping and he price matched some of the more expensive parts when I found lower prices elsewhere. The best part is, that he said he will personally be overseeing my order, which is awesome. Since the swap is in 2 weeks, I need to receive everything in a somewhat timely manner, and get what I need the first time.

Innovative mounts should be coming soon, and I got a used flywheel from Paul which helped a lot. So right now all I can do is wait for parts to show up at my door. lol I sincerely hope nothing I ordered from Tim is on backorder, I've heard flywheel bolts are hard to get hold of. Fingers crossed.

Chris, I will shoot you a pm, as I have more questions about that.

Derek I still have your questions for Rich. I promise I will get those to him. He is super busy most the time and we usually only end up communicating on the weekends. I feel like I have burdened him enough for now, lol. I was thinking after my swap is finished, that would be a good time to shoot him your list if that's okay.

No urgency on the questions, your project is first priority, so that can certainly wait.

As for the ebay intake piping, my understanding is that it comes with everything you need.

Actually, I was so busy (& kinda stressed) making sure I had everything covered, it's been a bit of a relief not having to think much about it.

But the past few days have been sunny and warm, and I've been driving with the windows down, sunroof open, and music playing...and I smile when I think how much more fun it will be shifting gears.
