6GA faster than Nissan Skyline GTR

It's not the motor or transmission in the GTR that enable it to exhibit blazing performance, they both work in conjunction with the obscenely wicked amount of electronics technology that has been crammed into this car. Everything on it makes the anything on the 6GA archaic, the only way you could make our car as fast, meaning better in top speed/acceleration/handling, would be to cut the body shell off the GTR and replace it with ours (which would need some serious adjustments ) and then race a guy with no legs.

I give you credit for being imaginative though. lol

Technically, if you had the money and the resources to do it, you could make the 6th gen Accord as fast as the Skyline. But, by the time you're done, you wouldn't even be able to call it an Accord anymore because its a completely different car. There are so many things to take into account. You could have an Accord with 600hp and it would still lose because it has no traction. Convert to RWD, then you have power to weight ratios and weight distribution to consider. Its possible, but its just not fiscally responsible to do so (especially when you can take a civic and do the same mods and get much better overall numbers).

The reason I want to do this is all about pride. My own pride as well as pride for my car. This guy is getting a GTR as his first car and I want to prove to him that I can build a better car. I mean anyone can buy a car with the money but not everyone can build a car. I am willing to go all out on this.

sell your accord, buy a 'busa, add bigger turbo, pocket the rest of the money

Do you think a 6GA can be faster than a Nissan Skyline GTR with the right turbo and engine swap? If you think so give input if not explain why. J32, J35,J36 and J37 engine swaps are all possible. Also what would be the bet transmission for this.

The Skyline GTR is running at 485hp with a 3.5 second 0-60.

how much for the good stuff you've been smoking?

building a faster car in a straight line, 0-60, is not too difficult given deep enough pockets. building a better car using a 6th gen...well...not real likely.

ok, here's how things go around these parts: look around for all the build threads/logs and see who's done what. then have a look around for the threads about converting to AWD/RWD/doing crazy v8 swaps/etc...there is a noticeable disconnect from wanting to doing.

i mean...first, **** that guy since his parents buy him whatever he wants. thats no one to hang out with or call a friend. you build a faster 6th gen, he'll show up with a ferarri. right? the fastest gt-r is running like 9.9 in the quarter. you cant and wont win against someone with (what seems like) endless dollars.

second...you got an extra $5k or so lying around that i could have?
