so moral of the story... h22's are pretty useless unless boosted?

Not trying to be an idiot...but 165whp isn't substantial enough over an f23, for 5,000. right?

Again, sorry if I'm showing signs of a semi-noob.
You could fully build an f23 bottom end and peice together an entire turbo kit for much less than that H22 ran him. I have a hunch you could easily break twice the whp that H22 put out too on a boosted daily driver.

Not for the price tag and work involved.

i would take a boosted f before a h just because you have to do sleeving to make any real power in an h series.

194.4hp at the flywheel
139.5 whp

158.8 tq at the flywheel
123.4 wtq

If i calculate a 30% loss on a stock H22 (200hp), it gives 170whp, so i don't bother with this dyno sheet.

Hey, first let me say, props for an H22 swap.

But your math isn't terribly good. A 30% loss off 200 would be 60, not 30, which would give you about 140 horsepower, which is about what you dyno'ed. So if the dyno tech says there is usually a 30% loss, then the dyno sheet is dead-on, horsepower-wise.

I think he meant 15% loss since he has a manual transmission. That would suite his 170whp mark exactly. Great swap and pretty good power too. But, for the price tag..
