98 V6 accord loss of power/loss of throttle response while drivin

A power loss like your describing sounds like a clogged cat, although it could be lots of things. Most exhaust shops can test for a clogged convertor with and infrared temp gun and check the temp difference from the front to the rear of the cat.

Update: Thanks to everyone for your replys. I think i have the problem solved. The guy who had the car before me had it to the dealer back in early spring with a check engine light on. Upstream O2 sensor. At the time they just clear the code and told him if it came back on it needed to be replaced. But the light didn't come back on, but when the car was put on a scanner here the other day we checked a few sensors and found out the upstream O2 sensor was staying at the same voltage (.36V there abouts) showing a lean condition. This wouldn't bring a light because it was still in the Voltage window. Telling the computer not to put little or no gas, explain my loss of power. Replaced O2 and car seems fine so far. Knock on wood. Thanks, agian.
