thanks to everyone who took the time to read this and the positive responses.

Obviously you put a lot of research and work into it, so you deserve the praise (besides, its interesting information that I never had the initiative to research  ) You da man!

I still disagree with the fact that you think that boring it out will help when the TB is still a certiain diameter. But then again its just my opinion since I actually installed it..

But my friend told me who is a physics freak (highschool still) and he said that even if you bore it out, the diameter of the actual TB will still allow the same amount of air through the manifold at the same rate regardless of the bore out. You're not gaining a thing by boring.

okay, this is what i mean. you have to accomadate for everything. you are absolutely right a bored out TB spacer and larger intake won't do anything because by the time it hits the TB it will shrink up. you are absolutely correct. what you would need to do is as you said, accomadate for that larger air mass with a larger TB. i thought i wrote that earlier, but probably didn't.

so in an automotive sense. larger Intake piping, bored out spacer, bored out TB,

or do you mean everything inside? i'm talking about something like maxbore.com and skunk's larger TB.

This might be a dumb question, but how would you go about boring out a spacer?

That would essentially get rid of the grooves.

And would ultimately be pointless... If you wanted a larger bore, buy one that way IMO. As determined here today, it seems that it would be fairly pointless to buy one in the first place...

I have one, and I plan on using it.

Got it for a steal, so I figure, what the hell.
