since the air is spiraled it (theoretically) creates better atomization. people say they give you more mpg because of this. i got better mileage with my SRI, in fact.

why spend $40 for something that makes more sound? i cant tell the difference of 5hp, but it's still $40 in my pocket and less rice on my car...bfd.

from your last statement, i cant tell what side youre on  registered just to pick a fight and not taking a side

You shouldn't be so quick to judge people. I am not trying to pick a fight, just do my part in stopping the spread of missinformation. As for sides, if you really must have me pick one and it'll let you sleep better at night, I think it does nothing. The "I'll maybe take it into account" was referring to your butt dyno.

Spiraling air, as you put it, creates better atomization, fine, but then how does better atomization have ANYTHING to do with how much fuel is injected? Better atomization just means a better burn, not any more or less of a burn.

But what do I know. Take everything I said with a grain of salt. This is after all the internet. No need to get your panties in a knot.

i didnt mention anything about injecting fuel. optimization of the air/fuel mixture is whats its all about.

Well then, I guess I'll have to spell it out for you.

The fact that you "didnt mention anything about injecting fuel" is EXACTLY what I am referring to. Having better atomization has NOTHING to do with mileage. Mileage has to do with how much fuel is injected.

So claiming that it gives you better mpg based on better atomization is completely false. Saying that it give you an increase in power because of better atomization makes a little more sense, however.

so when my buddy swaps out his 750cc injectors from his ecplise i should pick them up and install them? then i should get mad mileage according to you. because you say more fuel=more mpg.

ever heard of air/fuel ratio? if you knew that if these cars run rich, you would realize that adding in more air will make the car move closer to the ideal 14.7:1 stoichiometric mixture, thereby using less fuel through adding more air.

less fuel used=more mpg

:stupid: You are so unbelievably dense...

Show me where I said more fuel = more mileage...

Do you remotely understand how a speed density motor works, or for that matter what a speed density motor IS? Do you know how the ECU desides how long to keep the injector open? Do you evem know what atomization is?

"Using less fuel by adding more air" is a paradox in itself. Thats like saying if you start out with 3 oranges and 4 apples, and you add 2 apples, you end up with less oranges. You still have 3 damn oranges.

The point I am trying to make is STILL that ATOMIZATION and MILEAGE have nothing to do with each other. There is no interdependance between the two.

LOL! Yes. My post count somehow has something to do with my knowledge level.

I didn't think you would be able to answer any of the questions I asked you, namely where I said that more fuel = more mileage...

I am actually trying to have a conversation here. If you really think I am wrong, by all means, EXPLAIN WHY. Point out what I said that is wrong. Don't just pretend to know everything.

Great maturity level here. wow...
