Type 1s come with top hats. They are a direct swap with your current suspension.

They also come with two spanner wrenches for adjusting the height, and a tape measure.

I live in the land of potholes so - dumb question: are the type 1s rebuild-able?

I'm 90% positive they should be. I don't see why you can't replace one shock. As for the one year warranty, they should cover it as long as it falls under their warranty card.

If you damaged it by a pothole, then I'm assuming they're around 75-100 dollars a shock.

Is the warranty dependent on where I buy from? Does it have to be from an authorize dealer or some ish?

Comes with a warranty card. Just fill in the info and mail it in. There's already an address on the card, in Alhambra CA.

If you bought them new, yes they will come with the card. Same thing for buying it from a dealer. Warranties can't be passed on to first owner, then second owner.
